Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility is a strategic management concept concerned with the
applicability of social and environmental activities in day to day affairs of the business.
Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept in which companies add something to the social
value, takes care of stakeholders of the business i.e. Society, government, environment,
customers etc. In this research paper, the CSR activities of top 5 rural area contributor’s
companies are studied and their exclusive projects for rural development are being discussed. It
is found that these studied companies are taking their CSR as a very serious management
decision and they are increasing their spending by leaps and bounds.
